Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 6:16 a.m. on November 21, 2024 police were contacted about a potential assault taking place.
When attending the area a 23-year-old woman was located running down the street with obvious injuries.
An investigation revealed the woman had been assaulted and held against her will.
A 23-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested outside of Chatham-Kent with the assistance of the OPP.
The man was charged with assault, assault with a weapon, assault bodily harm, utter threats and forcible confinement.
The man was transported to Chatham-Kent Headquarters and held for bail.
