Traffic stop leads to impaired driving charges in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 65-year-old Chatham man was stopped on Wellington Street West in Chatham for a traffic offence.

During the stop the man was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

The man was arrested and taken to Chatham-Kent Headquarters where he was found to be two and a half times the legal limit.

The man was charged with impaired operation 80 plus and released with a future court date.
