The ongoing Canada Post mail strike is affecting the delivery of holiday mail, including cards from the CKHA Foundation for its 35th annual Christmas Wish Tree campaign. Despite these delays, the Foundation assures supporters that there are still multiple ways to contribute to this cherished local tradition.
The campaign, which offers community members an opportunity to honor loved ones with a meaningful donation, supports the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance’s most urgent needs. To ensure contributions can still be made without interruption, the Foundation has outlined several alternative methods:
– Online: Donations can be made securely at ckhaf.ca/cwt2024 using a credit card.
– Phone: Contributions are accepted by calling the Foundation office at 519-436-2538.
– In Person: Donors can visit the Foundation office at 9 Ursuline Avenue, Chatham, during business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).
Each donation is a tribute to someone special and will be acknowledged publicly.
Honouree names will appear on the Foundation’s social media channels, the Christmas Wish Tree website, and in a commemorative video.
The Foundation thanked the community for its enduring support, emphasizing how every gift contributes to high-quality healthcare in the region.
