Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday at approximately 5:30 p.m. police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Queens Line near Drake Road.
A westbound vehicle drove off the roadway to the south ditch of Queens Line and entered the water filled ditch.
Officers, first on scene, entered the water and assisted the driver to safety.
Queens Line was temporarily closed while tow trucks removed the vehicle from the water.
The vehicle was removed from the ditch, and Queens Line was reopened.
The driver was unharmed in this incident.
The Chatham-Kent Police would like to remind drivers that road conditions can change quickly and to stay alert for any changes.
