OPP officials allege: The Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual following a disturbance.
On December 8, 2024, shortly after 6:30 p.m., members of the Lambton County OPP responded to a disturbance at an address on Petrolia Line, Petrolia.
The investigation revealed the accused assaulted two unknown individuals and then attempted to steal one of the victim’s vehicles.
The accused fled the area prior to police arrival.
Police located the accused at which time they were taken into custody.
As a result of the investigation, a 22-year-old Petrolia man was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:
– Assault
– Robbery with violence
– Resist Peace Officer
– Public Mischief
No injuries were reported.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on December 11, 2024, in the City of Sarnia.
