R.I.D.E. programs to be setup across Chatham-Kent on New Year’s Eve

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On December 30,2024 between 9 pm and 11:45 p.m., officers conducted RIDE programs in Wallaceburg, Chatham, Tilbury and Blenheim Over 100 vehicles were checked with 1 roadside test administered.

The Chatham-Kent Police encourage residents to plan ahead bringing in the New year.

– Plan and arrange for a designated driver or take public transportation.

– Offer a sober ride to a friend who has been drinking or consuming drugs.

– Call 911 to report suspected impaired drivers.

– Enjoy responsibly.

Impaired driving by drugs/alcohol can result in criminal record, drivers license suspension, vehicle impoundment and could affect your insurance premiums.

R.I.D.E. Programs will be set up around the Municipality of Chatham-Kent.
