OPP officials allege: Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) assisted with road closures in response to an industrial fire in Petrolia.
On January 8, 2025, shortly after 2:20 p.m., members of the Lambton County OPP, along with Petrolia & North Enniskillen Fire Department, Plympton-Wyoming Fire & Emergency Services, St. Clair Township Fire Department and Lambton County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a report of an industrial fire on Centre Street in Petrolia.
Centre Street was closed between James Street and Discovery Line for approximately 12 hours to allow emergency crews to extinguish the fire safely.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
At this time, the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
