This week, the WDSS Varsity curling teams received jackets from local businesses.
Students were excited to receive these gifts and wear them for their games against UCC at the Sydenham Curling Club.
The girls team received jackets purchased by Matt’rs Cabinetry By Design.
One of the girls said the new jackets must’ve been good luck because they played really well and won their game 8-1.
The boys team received jackets purchased by Wallaceburg Jersey Dairy Ltd.
This year’s girls team has six curlers, and the boys team has five.
Out of a total of 11 WDSS curlers, five of these are return team members and six are new this year.
So far both WDSS teams are in third place in the overall standings this season.
Students, coaches, and school staff are grateful to these Wallaceburg businesses for their generous donation.
