Another arrest has been made in connection with the August 2024 fire at 99 McNaughton Avenue in Chatham.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege Leonard Greason, a 48-year-old London man, who was the subject of an arrest warrant for arson with disregard for human life, was located and arrested by the St. Thomas Police Service.
Greason was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters, where he is being held for bail, police officials added.
“Thank you to the St. Thomas Police for their assistance in locating Greason,” Chatham-Kent Police Service officials said in a media release.
Police say on August 25, 2024, at approximately 5:49 a.m., emergency crews attended 99 McNaughton Avenue East in Chatham for a structure fire.
On August 31, 2024 police said as a result of the investigation, Erin Ott, 30 years old of Chatham was arrested and charged with Arson-Disregard for Human Life.
She was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
An arrest warrant was also issued at the time for Greason.
Several residents were displaced for several weeks as a result of the blaze.
