Liquor bottle thrown, assault charges laid, plus other warrants exercised in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On January 16, a 51-year-old Chatham man, surrendered himself to outstanding Chatham-Kent Police Service warrants for two driving-related offenses: driving while prohibited and driving with a suspended license. He was released with a court date of February 10, 2025.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 27-year-old Chatham man, was arrested on an outstanding DNA warrant. He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters, where the DNA order was executed. He was released unconditionally.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a call for theft from a warehouse. A 40-year-old Chatham Township man attempted to purchase liquor and requested a cashback transaction. When his card declined, he became aggressive and threw a liquor bottle at an employee. No injuries were reported. The Chatham-Kent Police Service located and arrested the man, who has several outstanding warrants with the Niagara Regional Police Service. He was subsequently held for bail.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 26-year-old Chatham man, who was the subject of an endorsed arrest warrant for assault, was located at King Street East, Chatham. He was released with a court date of February 24, 2025.
