On Wednesday night, January 29, 2025 the Walpole Island Fire Department responded to a landfill fire, just before 10 p.m.
“When we arrived on scene there were multiple fires,” fire officials say.
One dumpster fire and three small landfill fires. This was also the first response of our donation fire truck, new Pumper #4. It performed to great satisfaction.”
