Chatham-Kent Local Immigration Partnership’s 2025 Annual Forum set for Feb. 20

The Chatham-Kent Local Immigration Partnership’s (CK LIP) 2025 Annual Forum takes place on Thursday, February 20, 2025, in Ballroom A at the John D. Bradley Centre in Chatham.

This year’s Community Forum will highlight the importance of creating a welcoming community in Chatham-Kent, and the positive impacts immigrants and newcomers bring to the communities they choose to call home, Municipal officials say.

“Chatham-Kent continues to grow as a diverse and inclusive community,” said CK LIP Coordinator Lara Olukolu, in a media release.

“The forum will highlight the work done in Chatham-Kent over the past five years, as part of the CK LIP Theory of Change Strategic Plan and showcases the positive impact immigration brings to communities.”

The Forum features a presentation from Keynote speaker Pedro Antunes, Chief Economist, Conference Board of Canada who will be sharing insights on Canadian immigration, housing and economic trends including how immigration supports economic development and growth in local communities.

Doors open at 11 a.m. and the formal agenda will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with an opportunity for attendees to network before and after the event. Registration is available at: cklipforum.eventbrite.ca
