Domestic assault, failing to attend court and uttering threats in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On February 18, 2025, at approximately 2L51 p.m., a 35-year-old Chatham-Kent woman was arrested by the Chatham-Kent Police Service. She possessed an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court stemming from a prior incident where, she was charged with mischief under $5,000. She is currently being held for bail and as a result was remanded into custody at Southwest Regional Detention Centre. Her next court appearance is February 20, 2025.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On February 18, 2025, at approximately 4:37 p.m., a 30-year-old Chatham man was located by the Chatham-Kent Police Service. He had an outstanding DNA warrant for a previous incident involving assault and uttering threats. He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters, where a DNA exam was conducted. He was further released without conditions.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On February 18, 2025, at approximately 9:04 p.m., the Chatham-Kent Police Service was called for an intimate partner violence incident. A 29-year-old Chatham man was involved in a physical altercation with a 26-year-old Chatham woman, resulting in the female sustaining minor physical injury. Subsequently, the accused was arrested for two counts of assault and was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters. He was released with conditions and a future court date of March 31, 2025.
