Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On March 4, 2025, at approximately 5:43 a.m., the Chatham-Kent Police Service received a call from a local business owner on Colborne Street in Chatham regarding a suspect captured on the business’s CCTV camera.
The footage showed an individual stealing scrap metal from the owner’s property.
The police located and arrested the suspect, who is a 54-year-old Chatham man.
He was charged with break and enter, an indictable offence.
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in court on April 7, 2025.
