Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On April 11, 2025, at approximately 8:31 p.m., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to an IPV Assault at Dover Township.
Upon arrival, police learned that a 70-year-old female from Dover Township, had been involved in a verbal argument with her 71-year-old male spouse from Chatham. The altercation escalated, and it was alleged that the accused physically assaulted the complainant.
The altercation resulted in the female receiving visible injuries to the head.
The accused was arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police headquarters, where he was charged with assault causing bodily harm.
He was released with a scheduled court date of May 12, 2025.
