Trespassing complaint at a Chatham business leads to bail violations

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On April 16, 2025, at approximately 10:43 a.m., Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a trespassing complaint at a local business within Chatham.

Officers confirmed that the accused, a 33-year-old male from Chatham-Kent had conditions not to attend the location, stemming from a prior release order issued in March 2025. Although the individual did not enter the business, they were observed on the sidewalk directly in front of the property, which constitutes a violation of their court-imposed conditions.

He was arrested by the Chatham-Kent Police Service.

He was later released with a scheduled court date of April 23, 2025.
