Bail violations stemming from fraud charges in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Saturday, May 3, 2025, at approximately 8:49 p.m., the Chatham-Kent Police Service arrested a male for failing to comply with his release conditions.

The individual, who was previously released on a Form 10 undertaking for multiple charges, including Fraud Over $5,000 and Possession of Property Over $5,000, was prohibited from entering Chatham-Kent except for court purposes.

Police observed the individual biking in the dark behind a funeral home on St. Clair Street in Chatham.

Upon identification, it was confirmed that he was in violation of his undertaking by being in Chatham-Kent.

The 23-year-old Windsor man was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was held for bail.

It was confirmed the man was also wanted on a warrant held by Windsor Police Service.
