OPP officials allege: Police have charged two individuals following a drug investigation that began in March 2025
On April 30, 2025, at approximately 9 p.m., members of the Lambton County Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), in collaboration with Lambton OPP uniform members, conducted a traffic stop on Deacon Street in Thedford as part of an ongoing drug investigation.
Police seized a quantity of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, Canadian currency, and other offence-related property.
The combined estimated value of the items seized is over $6,500.
As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old Ajax man, has been arrested and charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with the following offence:
– Possession of a schedule 1 substance for purpose of trafficking-Fentanyl.
A 31-year-old Thedford man has been arrested and charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with the following offences:
– Possession of a schedule 1 substance for purpose of trafficking-Fentanyl
– Possession of a schedule 1 substance for purpose of trafficking-Methamphetamine
The accused were released from police custody and are set to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice – Sarnia on June 4, 2025.
