Sarnia Police Service officials allege: Earlier this week, in response to the previous media release, a resident of the area of Modeland Road and Lakeshore Road contacted police to report suspicious behaviour at their residence approximately one week ago.
In the video, two individuals approach the front door of the residence.
One of them places a large brick in front of the door and the other places a large branch.
The Sarnia Police believe that this act is being done by would-be thieves to determine if the home is vacant.
Should the items not be removed when they return at a later date, this would indicate to them that the home is not presently occupied.
This would obviously make the home a target for a break and enter.
The Sarnia Police Service strongly encourages residents to report incidents of this nature, especially if they have video footage of the event.
The suspects in this matter are described as follows:
Male #1 – Appears to be tall. He is wearing a black coat, black sweat pants with a blue hoodie underneath pulled up over his head. The male is wearing distinctive bright orange Crocs which have a black marking near the toe.
Male #2 – Appears to be significantly smaller than Male #1. He is wearing a black coat with a black hood pulled over his head. He has grey sweat pants and is wearing distinctive white Crocs.
If you have any information relating to the identity of these individuals you are asked to contact Detective Constable Karl Brown of the Criminal Investigations Division at (519)344-8861 x6204.
