With sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Mr. Donald “Don” Orendorff on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the age of 83. Born and raised in Wallaceburg, he was the son of the late Austin and Eva (Primeau) Orendorff.
Loving father of Jennifer (Al) Authier, Jay (Melissa) Orendorff, and Tyler. Beloved companion and best friend for over 28 years to Linda Quick. Cherished stepfather of Rebecca (Kip) Nute and John (Nicole) Nute. Lifelong friend of Margaret. Proud grandfather of Brendan, Brianna, Logan, Jessalyn and Kendall and step-grandfather of Sophie, Emma, Mykala, Janna, and Ava.
Don will be deeply missed by his furry feline friend, Maggie May, whom he loved dearly.
As an Accountant by trade, Don was known for his dedication and attention to detail, working diligently on his loyal clients’ books and income taxes right up until recently. He enjoyed country drives, gardening, and watching The Days of Our Lives — “like sands through the hourglass…” He had a lifelong passion for the Boston Red Sox and the Montreal Canadiens.
The late Don Orendorff rested at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd., 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
