Thomas Johnston

Thomas Patrick Johnston of Port Lambton passed away peacefully in Petrolia on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at the age of 80.

Tom is the son of the late James Felix and Anna Belle (Carron) Johnston.

Beloved husband of the late Janice Sue (Rogers) (2015).

Loving father of Todd (Lori), Tim, Tobin (Amy) Johnston and Heidi (Brent) Welsh.

Dear brother of Joe (Jeanette), Phil (Doreen), Frank (Cathy), and the late Terry, Gerald and Mick (Joan) Johnston.

Kind brother-in-law of Shirley Johnston and Toni (Dick) de Beaubien, and step-brother-in-law of Jerry and Linda Baatz and Sharon Mitchell.

Cherished son-in-law of the late Leona and Robert Mitchell, George and Lorene Rogers.

Special great-uncle to Joni and Nolan Cogghe, Greg (Megan) and Carly Woolman, Rachel (Cam) Chortos, Connor (Brook) and Liam Johnston.

Tom retired from Polysar/Bayer in Sarnia after 35 dedicated years.

A devoted Catholic, Tom was a pillar of the community as a proud member of Sacred Heart Parish, the Knights of Columbus Council Number 10873, and the Sacred Heart Cemetery Board.

He was known as a hardworking, fun-loving man who truly cared for his family and friends.

Family and Friends are invited for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 5 – 8 PM on Tuesday, May 27.

The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church in Port Lambton on Wednesday, May 28 at 11 AM. Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery will take place at a later date.

If desired, donations to the Sacred Heart Food Bank or Sacred Heart Cemetery may be left at the funeral home (519-627-3231).
