A local garden initiative is set to bloom in support of healthcare, as hosta lovers are invited to pick their favourites during a two-day fundraiser for the Wallaceburg hospital redevelopment project.
The “Hostas for Healthcare” sale will take place Friday, June 6 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, June 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 4 Westminster Court in Chatham.
Shoppers will have the chance to choose from a limited supply of hostas sourced from the gardens of Anne Gooch.
Each plant is available for $8, cash only.
Organizers say all proceeds will go toward the Wallaceburg Redevelopment Project, an initiative aimed at strengthening hospital infrastructure and investing in long-term care needs.
