The Municipality of Chatham-Kent will be hosting a public open house to present and receive feedback on the draft 2025 Parks & Recreation Master Plan.
The Master Plan provides a framework for the Municipality to identify and prioritize the delivery, upgrading, divestment, or new development of parks and recreation infrastructure, services, and programs to meet the needs of residents over the next ten years. The draft plan concludes a year-long project of consultation and research.
The open house is scheduled for Thursday, June 19, 2025 at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre, Meeting Room 1A, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Members of the public are free to drop-in at any point during those hours.
The open house will feature several presentation boards placed around the room for a walkthrough experience. The focus of the session will include:
– Project Overview, Purpose, Background, and Study Area
– Vision and Strategic Direction
– Summary of Engagement
– Recommendations for priority projects and policies along with costing and implementation strategy
Staff will be available to answer questions and receive comments during the session.
The draft 2025 Parks & Recreation Master Plan will be available to review in its entirety at www.letstalkchatham-kent.ca beginning June 10, 2025.
