The Chatham-Kent Fire & Rescue and the Office of the Fire Marshal are continuing their investigation into a fire that occurred on June 10, 2025, at the Maple Court Apartments located at 85 Pine Street in Chatham, fire officials say.
Fire crews from Stations #1 and #2 – Chatham responded to the scene shortly before 1 p.m. and encountered active fire conditions upon arrival.
Firefighters worked swiftly to contain the blaze and prevent further damage to the multi-unit residential building.
During the incident, three Chatham-Kent Police Service officers were treated at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for minor smoke inhalation.
All three officers have since been released.
The Office of the Fire Marshal arrived on scene on June 11 to assist in determining the origin and cause of the fire.
