‘Fill the Bus’ Food Drive returns June 14 to support local families, drop-off at No Frills in Wallaceburg

Local organizations are teaming up once again for the annual “Fill the Bus” food drive, set for Friday, June 14 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at No Frills in Wallaceburg.

The event brings together groups including CK Helping Hands, Chatham Outreach for Hunger, FreeHelpCK, CK Giving Hearts, Chatham Goodfellows, and ROCK Missions. Donations collected will support local food banks, with all items staying in the community.

Accepted items include juice boxes, healthy school snacks, canned fruits and vegetables, tuna, oatmeal, pancake mix and syrup, pasta sauce, rice dishes, condiments, and soups.

Courtesy Cab will also be collecting donations. Organizers hope the community will come out in support, contribute what they can, and help make a difference.

“We are one,” reads the campaign’s message. “Let’s support and have fun—see you there!”
