A cherished summer tradition continues in Dresden as the Dresden Christian Concerts return for a full 2025 season, now held at Rotary Park — a welcoming green space with a large covered stage located at St. George and St. John Streets, next to Foodland.
Presented by the Dresden and District Christian Ministerial Association, the concerts showcase a rare example of inter-church collaboration, offering live music and spiritual messages in a relaxed outdoor setting. Each evening features 50 minutes of live music followed by a 10-minute message. While admission is free, a voluntary offering will be collected to support the series. The concerts begin at 6:30 p.m. each Sunday through the summer.
The season began June 7 and includes a range of musical guests and speakers from across the region:
June 29: One-A-Chord, with a message from Fr. Chris Pietraszko
July 6: Faith Baptist Church (Wallaceburg) music team, message by Pastor Wayne Hasson
July 13: The Chapelaires, with Pastor Gord Tetley
July 20: The Klassens, featuring Eduard Klassen
July 27: Verscheure Worship Team, message by Rev. Andrew Zomerman
August 3: Dan Borody Band
August 10: Evangel Chatham Worship Team, message by Pastor Shane Fitch
August 17: Mercy, with Rev. Joe Krohn
August 24: The Torchmen Quartet, message by Rev. Andy Cornell
August 31: Hank & Janet Sonnenberg, with Pastor Brian Smith
While a drive-in option remains available, Rotary Park has limited parking. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early or bring lawn chairs to enjoy the event under the shade. In the event of rain, concerts will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church across the street.
Running since the 1960s, Dresden Christian Concerts offer a welcoming space for music, reflection, and community connection each summer.
