OPP officials allege: On July 9, 2025, at approximately 6:45 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were requested to attend Bluewater Bridge, Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), regarding a possible impaired driver.
As a result of the investigation, a 53-year-old man from Iowa, United States of America has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offence:
Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on September 8, 2025, in the City of Sarnia.
