The Sydenham Community Curling Club is launching into the season with plenty of energy, thanks to support from the Senior Community Grant, which provides funding for organizations to offer programs for adult adults 55+ to stay connected to their communities.
One of the first additions to their programming is a brand-new shuffleboard initiative—a six-week “Learn to Shuffleboard” program offered completely free for the 2025 season.
With limited spots available, early online registration is essential to reserve a place.
Sessions run Tuesdays from 9 to 11 a.m. and Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m., and sign-up can be completed at sydenhamcommunitycurling.com.
Also on deck is a monthly dance series featuring seven live performances between October and March.
The fun starts October 4 with 89 Next kicking off the series, while Milhouse will bring the Halloween spirit to a festive October 31 celebration.
Expect a lively mix of music—country, classic rock, and alternative—designed to keep dancers moving and smiling.

It’s shaping up to be a season full of community spirit, great tunes, and memorable moments.
