Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Five people are facing drug-related charges after Chatham-Kent police executed multiple search warrants and seized an estimated $63,790 in controlled substances.
Officers arrested four women and one man during the investigation, which resulted in the discovery of cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine.
A 32-year-old woman is facing several charges, including possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and fentanyl, possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl, and failure to comply with probation. A 52-year-old woman was also charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and fentanyl.
A 42-year-old man is charged with possession of fentanyl and failure to comply with a release order, while a 53-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman are each charged with possession of fentanyl. The 53-year-old man also faces one count of failing to comply with an undertaking.
The 32-year-old woman, the 52-year-old woman and the 42-year-old man were held in custody pending bail hearings. The 53-year-old man and the 28-year-old woman were released with conditions and are scheduled to appear in court on August 21, 2025.
