The St. Clair Region Conservation Authority (SCRCA) is inviting public feedback on a draft Master Plan for the A.W. Campbell Conservation Area.
Located in the municipality of Brooke-Alvinston, the conservation area is undergoing a long-term planning review guided by the Authority’s 2023–2028 strategic plan. The draft Master Plan outlines an updated vision and objectives to guide future decision-making for the site’s management.
As the St. Clair Region’s population grows, the SCRCA says demand on natural areas for recreation and mental health support will increase. The plan identifies ways to manage the conservation area in a way that remains both economically and environmentally sustainable while enhancing the visitor experience.
The SCRCA is encouraging local residents, municipal partners, campers, day-use visitors and other stakeholders to submit comments on the draft plan before the deadline of Sept. 4, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. The draft plan can be viewed at https://bit.ly/4f0DLVC.
Feedback can be provided through an online survey or by email at comments@scrca.on.ca.
The SCRCA manages programs across southwestern Ontario to reduce flood and erosion risks, promote land and water stewardship, and support conservation education and outdoor recreation. More information is available at www.scrca.on.ca.
