OPP officials allege: One person has been charged following a collision in Lighthouse Cove.
On July 27, 2025, at approximately 6:54 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Mariners Drive in the Municipality of Lakeshore.
A 35-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
– Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
– Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on August 12, 2025, to answer to the charges.
