Families are invited to get up close and personal with some cold-blooded critters during a pair of free reptile presentations offered by the Chatham-Kent Public Library.
Reptilia staff will be on hand Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025, to lead interactive “Meet and Greet” sessions at both the Ridgetown and Highgate branches. The shows promise to educate and entertain audiences with an assortment of fascinating reptiles, offering a hands-on learning experience for all ages.
The event begins at 11 a.m. at the Ridgetown Branch, located at 54 Main Street West. Later that day, the program will move to the Highgate Branch at 291 King Street, with a presentation scheduled for 1 p.m.
The Ridgetown session is sponsored by the IODE Confederation Chapter and Salus Mutual Insurance, while the Highgate event is supported by the Highgate & District Lions Club and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 335.
