OPP officials allege: On July 28, 2025, at approximately 12 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of unsafe road conditions on Highway 402 eastbound.
As a result, Highway 402 eastbound is closed between Airport Road and Mandaumin Road in the City of Sarnia.
Eastbound motorists are advised to exit at Airport Road and detour following London Line to Mandaumin Road to re-enter the highway.
The road closure is expected to remain in place for an extended period while crews work to safely to repair the road surface. Motorists are asked to plan an alternative route and allow for extra travel time.
