Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: An 18-year-old Chatham woman has been charged with stunt driving after officers with the Chatham-Kent Police Service clocked a vehicle travelling 130 km/h in a 50 km/h zone early Wednesday morning.
Police say the vehicle was spotted shortly after 12:30 a.m. on St. Clair Road in Chatham. Due to the high speed, the vehicle was several kilometres ahead before officers could initiate a stop, prompting a coordinated response from nearby units.
The driver was arrested and issued a summons under the Provincial Offences Act. Her licence was suspended, the vehicle was impounded for 14 days and she was escorted home.
