The St. Clair Catholic District School Board will hold an opening and blessing ceremony next month for the newly rebuilt Sacred Heart Catholic School in Sarnia.
The event is set for Sept. 10 and will be led by Bishop Ronald Peter Fabbro. Local dignitaries, community partners, board officials, staff, students and invited guests will gather for a Mass and ceremonial blessing.
“This is a milestone moment for St. Clair Catholic and for the Sacred Heart community in Sarnia-Lambton,” said Lisa Demers, the board’s director of education. “This has been a long-time dream and effort, and we are so thrilled to officially celebrate the opening and blessing of this beautiful, modern school.”
Superintendent of education Chris Kehoe said the project took years of planning and collaboration. “This has truly been a shared vision, and what a blessing it is to see it come to life,” he said. “We are excited for the staff and students of Sacred Heart as they begin this new chapter.”
The school features modern learning spaces designed to support student well-being, creativity and academic achievement in a faith-based environment. The board says the project reflects its commitment to providing safe, inclusive and inspiring spaces for Catholic education.
