The Wallaceburg Minor Hockey Association says the start of its season will be delayed due to unexpected structural issues at the Wallaceburg Memorial Arena.
The association says U18 tryouts will be prioritized at the Walpole Island Sports Complex so the team can be selected on time. Work is also underway to secure ice times for other divisions at the complex.
Families are being asked to monitor the association’s website for updates as scheduling is expected to vary between Sept. 2 and 6.
A finalized schedule for the regular season will be released once repairs are complete.
The association thanked families for their patience, saying, “We can’t wait to see everyone back on the ice soon.”
