It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charlie McCormick.
He passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Monday, August 18, 2025 at the Chatham Kent Hospice at the age of 76 years.
He was born in Peterborough and was the son of the late Frank and Violet (Heather) McCormick. Loving husband and best friend to Mrs. Dale (McNeil) McCormick. Much loved and cherished father to Shannon (Jeff) Brewer, and the late Lee Hooper. Proud grandfather of Gryphyn, Graclyn, Zakahry, Ryenne, Steve, Jay, Brad, Brian, Jordan and great grandfather of Tessa, Ava, Laikyn and Alec. Predeceased by his brother Gary Mulcahy. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Charlie was a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 42 years; he was very devoted to the AA program and was proud to celebrate all accomplishments with everyone associated with and in the program.
The late Charlie McCormick is resting at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home 639 Elgin St. in Wallaceburg. Family and friends are invited for visitation on Saturday, August 23 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place and the ashes will be interred in Riverview Cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Chatham-Kent Hospice would be much appreciated by the family.
