Kenneth Lyle Poland, 75 years, of Oil City passed away suddenly at C.E.E. Hospital Petrolia on Friday, August 29, 2025. Ken was the loving husband for 52 years to Janice (nee Bailey). He was the proud father of Kenny, Brian (Melissa), and Kevin (Laura) and grandfather to Taylor and Claire. He was the son to the late Lyle and Jean (nee Dobbin) Poland and was a brother to the late Bruce (Carol) Poland, Bob (Joyce) Poland, Marilyn (Tony) O’Brien, and Joanne Kumpf. He was the son-in-law of the late Robert and Laura Bailey, and a brother-in-law to Bob (Elizabeth) Bailey, Joyce (Bob) Poland, and Jane (Mike) Young.
Ken was a longtime employee of Petrolia PUC/Bluewater Power. During his retirement years he enjoyed gardening, photography, and spending time with granddaughters.
Visitors will be received on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from 4 to 7 p.m. from the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, 4059 Petrolia Line, Petrolia. Where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Hillsdale Cemetery.
