Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 28-year-old Chatham woman has been charged after allegedly assaulting her roommate with a garden hoe.
Police were called to an apartment on McNaughton Avenue around 2:40 a.m. on September 2. Investigators say the woman, who was under the influence of drugs, punched her roommate and struck him with the tool, damaging property he was holding.
She was arrested for assault, assault with a weapon, mischief, and resisting arrest. After being taken to hospital for evaluation, she was released with conditions.
She is scheduled to appear in court on October 8.
