Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 24-year-old woman from Chatham has been arrested after police discovered multiple outstanding warrants during a patrol stop.
Chatham-Kent police said officers were on patrol shortly before midnight on Sept. 9, 2025, when they stopped a person on Siskind Court. An investigation confirmed the woman was wanted on several warrants, including one for failing to attend court.
Police said the charges stem from a 2020 shoplifting incident at a Chatham retail store. At the time, the woman was charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen property under $5,000 but failed to appear in court in June 2023, leading to a warrant being issued.
She has since been charged with failing to attend and remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
