Do you know about Port Lambton Proud?
We are a group of volunteers whose purpose is to improve our small community to make it welcoming and a great place to live or visit.
Port Lambton residents have always been a very proactive community like initiating getting a splash pad, playground equipment, pavilion and river trail installation.
You may have noticed recent upgrades by PL Proud as you drive through the village e.g.rock scape to the “Welcome to Port Lambton signs, Canadian flags on poles, De decker park well maintained and how can you not miss all the beautiful flower pots in the core area that are watered all summer by over 20 dedicated volunteers
Wanted to let you know we are planning in the near future an upgrade to our historic pump house that is located at the north end of Dedecker Park.
It was built in 1959 and has fallen in disrepair.
We are planning on painting it in historic colours and landscaping around the outside.
This work will be completed by all volunteers, many who have been involved for years and many just pitching in to help as needed.
