Sarnia Police Service officials allege: The Sarnia Police Service has laid further charges against a man previously arrested in connection with the sexual assault of a teenager.
On Sept. 22, police spoke with another victim who reported that the same individual had approached her near a local high school. She told investigators he attempted to take a photo with her before trying to kiss her and groping her inappropriately.
The following day, officers arrested a 51-year-old Sarnia resident and charged him with sexual assault and sexual interference.
He had previously been arrested in a separate incident and released by the court on Sept. 19. After his second arrest and bail hearing on Sept. 23, he was remanded into custody overnight and is scheduled to return to bail court on Sept. 24 at 11 a.m.
Police are urging anyone who has had similar interactions with the man to come forward and report them to the Criminal Investigations Division.
