Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 48-year-old Ridgetown man has been charged after two people were assaulted during a disturbance at a local event venue late Saturday night.
Chatham-Kent police were called to the scene on Shadd Road around 11:50 p.m. on October 11. Investigators say an argument between the accused and a 26-year-old Florence man escalated into a physical fight. A 34-year-old Ridgetown man who tried to intervene was also assaulted.
Both victims were assessed by emergency medical services but did not require further treatment.
The accused was arrested and charged with two counts of assault. He was released with a court date of November 18, 2025.
