Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Two people have been charged after police say merchandise was stolen from a retail store on McNaughton Avenue Thursday evening.
According to the Chatham-Kent Police Service, the incident occurred around 7:07 p.m. on October 16, 2025, when two suspects fled the store without paying for various items.
Surveillance footage helped identify the suspects as a 28-year-old Walpole Island man and a 28-year-old Chatham-Kent woman. Both were located and charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
They were released from custody with conditions and are scheduled to appear in court on November 18, 2025.
