Woman arrested in Wallaceburg on theft and possession charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 28-year-old Chatham-Kent woman has been arrested in connection with a theft from a Wallaceburg retail store earlier this month.

Police say on October 16, officers responded to a report of theft at a McNaughton Avenue business after a woman allegedly selected several items and left the store without paying. The suspect fled on foot, and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

On October 22, officers located the woman on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg. She was charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

She was transported to police headquarters and later released with conditions and a court date of November 18, 2025.
