Wheatley man charged after traffic complaint in Lakeshore

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A Wheatley man is facing multiple charges after Ontario Provincial Police responded to a traffic complaint in Lakeshore last week.

On October 24, 2025, at about 11:56 a.m., officers were called to Middle Road near County Road 46 following a report of a concerning driver.

Police say 32-year-old Tyler Charamba of Wheatley was arrested and charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs, possession of property obtained by crime, dangerous operation, and driving while under suspension.

A 90-day administrative driver’s licence suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment were issued under statute. The accused was held for bail court.

“The safety of our community is paramount, and we will continue to enforce impaired driving laws to keep our roads safe,” police said in a release. “Traffic Safety is Everyone’s Responsibility.”
