With heavy hearts we announce that on October 28, 2025, William Roland Brownlee passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the age of 91.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 68 years, Mary Jane Brownlee (nee Markham) and will be missed dearly by his sons Richard (Margaret), Ronald, Robert (Cheryl), the late Randy (Joanne, surviving) as well as his grandchildren and his great grandchildren.
He will be fondly remembered as a dear brother of Allan (Marna), Brian (Helen) and the late Jack and Jean, and a dear brother-in-law to Jane’s twin sister Joan Hill and the late Edwin (Carol surviving) Markham.
Many will remember Roland from his years of service with the Ontario Provincial Police in Chatham, Wallaceburg and Red Lake.
All are invited to come Celebrate his Life with Food, Family and Friendship at the Cavanagh Reception Centre (416 Nelson St, Wallaceburg) on Tuesday, November 4th from 11:30am until 1:30pm at which time everyone is welcome to travel to the Riverview Cemetery for the burial service at 2pm.
