Windsor man turns himself in on outstanding warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 39-year-old Windsor man has surrendered to police in connection with a 2023 vehicle theft investigation in Chatham.

Police said the man was originally charged in April 2023 after a vehicle was stolen from a business property on Grand Avenue East. The vehicle was later found abandoned on Prince Street North, and the suspect was arrested days later.

He was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property over $5,000 and failure to comply with a probation order. The man was released with a future court date but failed to attend, prompting a warrant for his arrest.

On November 3, 2025, the accused turned himself in at Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters, where he was arrested on the outstanding warrant and later released with a new court date set for December 12, 2025.
