Nancy Doreen Shipman, a member of Walpole Island First Nation, passed away peacefully in Windsor on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at the age of 78.
Nancy was the daughter of the late Willard & Gladys (Blackbird) Williams. Predeceased by her beloved husband Howard Shipman Sr. in 2016. Loving mother of Dana Soney (Clifford), Dan Williams (Trudy), Howard Shipman Jr. (Georgina), Trevor Shipman (Dawn), the late Roderick Shipman ( surviving spouse Dawn), Walden Shipman (Children), Heather Johnson (Kennon), Shonna Williams, She will be deeply missed by her sweetie pie Dorothy and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sister of Romaine, late Jackie, late Peter, Regina, late Jason, late David, Late Henry Ford, Paul, Lita, Gerald and Charlotte.
Nancy was devoted to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and fur babies.
The family will receive the community at the Walpole Island Sports Complex on Wednesday from 5 – 7 PM. The funeral will be celebrated at the Sports Complex on Thursday, November 13 at 1 PM. Interment to follow at Highbanks Cemetery.
