Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 21-year-old Chatham man has been charged following a reported weapon incident early Tuesday morning.
Police were called to a residence on McNaughton Avenue West shortly before 1 a.m. on November 12 after reports of a dispute between two men.
Investigators said an argument between the accused and a 21-year-old victim escalated when the accused retrieved a weapon and attempted to assault the victim. No injuries were reported.
The man was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
He was released with a court date set for December 16, 2025.
